A Practical Study of Hebrews

The Book of Hebrews is gloriously unique. First of all, it unveils Jesus Christ as the REALITY of the shadow cast upon every Old Testament page. Hebrews 10:1 says that the law, the old covenant in its ceremonies and regulations was a shadow of things to come. The old covenant was the shadow cast by the Glory of the Triune Covenant God in His Eternal Covenant Plan of Redemption shining upon the Humiliation of the Son of God as Son of Man for the Salvation of His people. Secondly, Hebrews is the fifth Gospel! Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John show the Son of God come in our flesh. They witness to Him as the perfect Son of God Who as Son of Man fulfilled all Righteousness that we might become the adopted sons of God. Hebrews presents this same Jesus in His present and eternal ministry as our King/Priest, still one with us in perfect flesh, seated at the Right Hand of the Father as our Intercessor who "ever lives to make intercession for us", insuring our present and eternal fellowship with our Loving Heavenly Father. May this study be merely be a stepping stone into the Glorious God/Man, our Great High Priest and Mediator, the ONLY adequate SACRIFICE for our sins!
