The point is, Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of His Father's Love, doesn't exist to fill up the empty spaces in the flesh! God isn't into retreads! I'm sure you have seen the strips of rubber on the highway from the tires of 18 wheelers. Those are the remainders of disintegrating retread tires. I'm afraid the highways of the church are littered with "rubber" that has fallen off the "retreads" who thought they were "saved". I'm not here to question any one's salvation. But I am here to speak the truth in love! Christ Jesus is All in All, or He is nothing! "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new!" 2 Corinthians 5:17
" How many times have I heard a testimony something like this: "My life was empty, it was missing something. But I invited Jesus into my heart and now I feel more complete". Just add the variation of what you may have heard. I get deeply frustrated each time I hear such a thing. It is the evidence of a shallow presentation of the Powerful Gospel of Christ. In reading Colossians again this morning, I was struck again with the truth of 2:8-10. "Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, AND NOT ACCORDING TO CHRIST. FOR IN HIM DWELLS THE FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY; and you are complete IN HIM WHO IS THE HEAD OF ALL PRINCIPALITY AND POWER."
